Here's the story behind this comic: we were driving to my grandparents' house in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan many years ago. This was ages before cars had DVD players so my dad, being ever-so smart, hooked up a store display television (the ones with the built in VCR player) to the car so we could watch movies. It was dark and we were in a forest so we decided to watch Bambi.

And I kid you not, almost at the exact moment the death scene began, my dad hit a mother deer who jumped out with her baby.

At the time, I was more upset because my mom hit me trying to stop me from flying forward, but I wasn't crying or emotionally destroyed. But to be honest, I haven't seen this film since then. I think somehow this memory stayed with me and made the movie undesirable to watch.

This may be the most ironic moment in my childhood.
