Long House, Mesa Verde National Park. Long House is the second largest cliff dwelling within Mesa Verde National Park. It has a large plaza area out front, and an active spring at the back of the alcove. This drawing shows just the central part of the village - the whole site has about 150 rooms and 21 kivas. After outlining the scene in graphite, I laid down the colors in watercolor, then layered fine Prismacolor details on top.
