Description Square Tower House at Mesa Verde National Park.  This ancient site is tucked into a shallow alcove that overlooks Navajo Canyon.  It was built from the mid-1200s to about 1300; one of the last places the Ancestral Puebloans lived at Mesa Verde before migrating southward.  The four story tower for which the site is named is located on the center left.  The "crow's nest" is tucked into a crevice, seen on the center right of the image.  I worked on a crew at Square Tower House in 2018, documenting the architecture in detail.
