Finally, it is completed!!! I've been working for 2 months on this. Really put a lot of effort into it. Badly wanted to make a lizardman and didn't find the aproproate stock... kept searching and searching, till I found a model in *mjranum-stock 's gallery. Finding a suitable background was a bitch just as well. (got it from sxc.hu)

If I were to start over again, redoing it wouldn't take me more than 2 or 3 hours, but this guy has been through 1000 changes before looking like this. Also, this is a cropped version of it, which imo looks better - see full version here [link] .

What I've manipulated

-the face: removed nose, removed eyebrows, made eyes red, added a tatoo, made the lips look "lizardy", changed overall expression from dull to reptilian calm.

-the body: removed skin imperfections, changed skin color, addes spots and stripes (as the whole color looked unreal), manually drawn scales, manually drawn scale texture (took me a while), added a tail.

-wepon/armor: made the axe a double one, changed the shield ornaments from horses to lizards, added a skull in the middle of the shield and a fiew dents, added ornaments to the helm.

-the environment: adjusted the photo, changed color balance, darkened and burn parts of it to go well with the overall lighting, added a bit of fog (credit goes to ~ssecret-stock and *Mehrunnisa-stock for a few clouds), added a lizardman reflection into the water.

-worked a bit with the overall lighting and stood about half of hour trying to see which crop looks better.

I want to thank all the stock artists for providing the greatest stock ever and I also want to thank the artists here on dA that helped me along while this was a WIP. I am very proud of it, as this is my first PS experience (been using Corel till now, shifting was hard) and I hereby give permission to my clubs to post this in their galleries.

Leter edit: noticed uploading it on dA makes it look brighter - any suggestions how to go around this?
