Skogafoss , IcelandAs Marianne and my upcoming holiday approach, I continue to think of last year's trip to Iceland and how we can redo some of the same images.
Skogafoss was one of the undoubted highlights and we intend to walk further inland from the top of the falls.
I wonder if the whole area will be black from volcanic ash though.

They're a 60m drop I believe - iceland is remarkable for the fact that you could if you wanted to, walk right up to its base

those are birds dennis! hard to see but all of those white specks were an amazing number of birds!
dennis, if you love photographing nature, you'll fall in love with iceland like I did ( I'm even heading back later this year even though I live as far away on earth as you can get)

(technicality : I don't usually shoot af F2.8 and 1/1000 for waterfalls but in this scenario, there was so much mist and I lacked a rain cover so it was a case of turn around, shoot, turn back.

wow this is an absolutely GORGEOUS capture!! the water is stunning, and the rainbow brightens up the whole picture! you have GOT to make this as a print!
