Actually, now that I look harder, this looks like it could almost be a beast from final fantasy. It's a cool design.

Do you...think...that he could be...THE THREAT?!
BIG F*CKING EYES_________BIG F*CKING EYES
Unfortunately I stopped writing a bit...lack of inspiration + not in the Metroid mood :/
Maybe...your drawing...activated the mood again...but it will take a long time for a new chapter, I must admit :/

Damn, I'd critique it, but I suck at critiques. Maybe you should take a break and draw some smaller things to refresh your mind.

Lol,my mind won't work that. I have to finish it or i'll never finish it...But if you feel like taking a gander and yellin about what's wrong with it i'd appreciate it. I just re-finished the lighting on on the skin, so i need to work the helm and eyes more.

damn, and i thought vampires were out of design space.
i love the shape of his head but where does he store his brain?

Delta-Hexagon In reply to Chieftx [2010-10-22 18:11:11 +0000 UTC]
Hey, this is the Engine of Insanity you're talking to. If there's a way to make something freakish despite it being designed to death, I'll do it. I'LL DO IT.
As for his brain, I'm thinking of giving him, at the back of his head, not a brain in the conventional sense but a single exposed tube that runs into his spine that contains a single constant electrical charge. Sort of an ethereal hard drive where all his memories and personality is stored. An unsafe and exposed place? Probably. But then skulls aren't all that protected when you think about it, either.

Chieftx In reply to Delta-Hexagon [2010-10-22 18:31:50 +0000 UTC]
lol yeah I encountered the same issue when designing Vhoscev, his head is kind small for storing a super advanced alien brain.

Delta-Hexagon In reply to Chieftx [2010-10-22 19:05:06 +0000 UTC]
It's not the size of the brain that denotes intelligence, it's the complexity of the wrinkles and how developed it is in certain areas. And Vhoscev strikes me as the kind of guy/alien/thing that would have an artificial brain, anyhow. Like a super advanced conglomeration of micro chips or something.

Chieftx In reply to Delta-Hexagon [2010-10-22 20:56:56 +0000 UTC]
I did not know that about the wrinkles. that makes much more sense.
most of him is artificial, his brain while organic is equipped with computer technology to enhance his nearly destroyed senses and allow him to speak through a artificial voice box.
I'm still trying to figure out how he might have looked before he began to deteriorate. I gotta post a new picture of him, his design gas changed just a little bit.

Delta-Hexagon In reply to Chieftx [2010-10-22 21:21:04 +0000 UTC]
Yup. A wrinkled brain has more surface area bunched up into a smaller place, making it more efficient and compact.
I'll be keeping a lookout when you post a picture of him from his past. I have to say, I like Vhoscev. A lot.
