Demon-Spirit — An Infinity burning Blackfire

Description
The title should have said "A Blackfire that burns into Infinity",but dA doesn't let me have that many characters for it.So,here it is,my entry for 's contest.These are her 2 characters,Blackfire (the girl) and Infinity (the guy).As I said in the other deviation including the two,I've taken their names in an exagerated metaphorical way.Nothing more to say than: I was in a hurry,tried to finish it as soon as possible so that I'll meet the deadline,while I was working on it I was swapping between it and learning for the exam that I've got on the 18th.I'm not happy with it,but I guess there's no turning back now T_T
Stayka please add it to the contest list if you see it cause I've got very few time remaining and gotta study.

Okay, now the promised critique 
The choice of colours is great. The main problems are
1. Anatomy:
Compare the head sizes of Kary and Ryko. His head is at least twice the size of hers, while normally the head sizes of guys and gals are pretty much the same. Ryko's head is also too big for the body. This alone makes the character look off-balance. Kary's eyes are a bit differently angled, too, but that is not so bad.
2. Composition:
The characters are squeezed into the lower half of the picture, and the upper part looks a bit too empty compared to the lower part.
Now you wanted to make a statement with that, but it would have worked better if you would have given the grey part less space. After all, the characters are supposed to be the focus and the large grey area overwhelms the characters a bit. If you like I could show you how choosing a different cut of the picture would have made a better impact

Oh,I'm glad the choice of colors doesn't look that bad,to me the gray on Infinity was a bit annoying and wanted another shade,but I was running out of time.
1.A first pointer at anatomy (in which regards Ryko's head) I've got from Suzu.I also realized it while coloring,but didn't manage to do something that would have made his head smaller and actually be successful.At Kary's eyes I screwed up after I started inking the sketch -____-' I hoped that I could fix it in PS,but I had no luck.
2.Yes,you are right,as I said in the reply to your note,I liked the cut version better,thought of it before finishing the piece,but being undecided I thought it will be ok like this.I thought wrong.

I think this is a very good picture, the characters became very charming with the colors you did they. Moreover there is nothing perfect, only things that look like it, so don't lose time trying to make it perfect pixel by pixel, only overall ;D
