So I did this challenge some time ago, many years ago actually, you can see that here.fav.me/d2ury5q
I would really love to enjoy this anime, but when it becomes a regular challenge for artists to make your shit look better, that is BAD.
That being said, there are a lot of characters that I feel didn't get enough decent screen time, as in animators not caring.
I took this screen here, i141.photobucket.com/albums/r5… , and redid it in a Ginga-esque style, but still heavily relying on what I've learned from drawing canine anatomy for the past eternity.
I also went the extra mile to give each of these characters their individual body and face types so that they were indeed individuals instead of blatant clones of the same horribly drawn sketch.
Hope you guys enjoy. I may end up doing more of these since I have a whole folder of Ginga fails.

Ooh, glad to find art of Nobu and Haru. Really liked their designs, but they were hardly ever shown in the anime and manga. You did the show some great justice though, lol.

I really loved the design of these characters as well. And then they were in the Anime for, what, a grand total of 20 minutes screen time? Was it even that much. XDD

Shigure had a decent amount of time, I guess. The rest were kinda there just to take up space or something. Really not cool considering they're Chutora and Kurotora's children.

I always loved Harutora's design - I wish he had more of a personality (along with his brother) than just 'welp I'm here'. Because even in the manga this is pretty much all he does.

Wow. I've only recently found about this show, but I so wish it was in your style. These look so good!
So far my only problem with the show is I can't understand why the dogs keep their mouths open almost all the time. Its just kind of weird to me, but other then that and the art which isn't that bad, but could be better I love the show!
