Nice work on capturing the world of Airelle by your style, and must agree with you about this film (just saw it yesterday) as well

My pleasure.
Also liked her beauty as well.
Have you seen Fantastic Planet? It was also done by Laloux, too

I love how everything was laid out! The lines are very clean and the shading is lovely! <3

That movie was something....
I loved Les Maîtres du Temps spécialy even more, myself (The Time Masters) - the art of Moebius was for it, I guess
(It is the second movie of Laloux, between Planet and Gandahar)

I recomend The Times Master, espcially if one like Moebius; a nice adventure

So Avatar is Gandahar, Last of the Mohicans, Ferngully, Nausicaa, Princess Mononoke, Heavy Metal, Star Wars, Star Trek 6, Fantastic Planet, Willow and Castle in The Sky (Laputa) combined in a cocktail isn't that right?

Light Years has been one of my favorite animated movies since i was 11 for 18 years and showed me animation can be for adults too but i did had earlier experiences with adult animation such as Warriors of the Wind (the 1985 butchered Nausicaa), Transformers The Movie, Fire and Ice, Wizards and Starchaser Legend of Orin as a kid then i watched this on video and bought myself a copy of it, i even watched Heavy Metal, Vampire Hunter D, Rock and Rule and American Pop.
Did the movie Avatar reminded you of this movie? James Cameron is a fan of animation including Sci-fi/fantasy movies/novels, anime and Rene Laloux's animated movies as i'm sure this is one of his favorites. There are big similarities abound.

I saw this movie and two others when I was younger, Gandahar (Light Years in the US), Fire & Ice, and Wizards. All were great films.

I was thinking of doing a picture with the Men of Metal too......just never got to it I guess. I hope more pictures of Gandahar get made buy other deviants. It is an under appreciated film.
