Description This is Devin, a Koi merman who was created by . Originally a plushie concept she seems to have evolved him into a very interesting character. This is the reference pic this one used to draw him.[link] This one just hopes he got it right!

This picture is a request from . This one normally does not do requests, but the challenge that reproducing this picture presented was nothing short of irresistible. The result.........was kinda disappointing in this one's view. This one thought he could draw better than this.

But final judgment is for to decide. This one sincerely hopes she likes it.

This is really pretty. There are a few things you could have done a little differently, but you shouldn't be disappointed, it looks really well done! I love the pose you chose as well.

I needed to keep this guy to the specifications that were set as best I could. There are many things I would have done otherwise......and will with my mers that I will be posting soon. I really don't know what to make of him in my version. But the original mer I used for reference just spoke to me in it's color and design.......I wonder now if I screwed it up?

Glad you like him! He is a very unique mer and I wasn't too sure what to make of him when I first saw the original pic. But the result was very interesting and so is his character. I hope we see his character develop into something interesting.

What I really like is how you colored him. Their is something interesting going on in his body. He looks almost glass like.

I dunno....... He looks a little "70's soul flower power" fashion victim to me! But it seems he is a hit so I won't complain. But I am glad you like either way.

These days EVERYTHING is back in style. I actually so a girl in a Bo-peep style dress at the aquarium today! Not a child, but a college girl with her bf!!!!!! That style originated....in the 1800's!!!!!!!! And only with the recent Loli trends made a comeback.

Yep....in Hawaii.....where we were having a temps of over 90,she was dressed in this Chiffon number....looked alot like this:

we get all sorts of weirdos in the aquarium. The last time I saw that prior it was in Japan on the train to Osaka......it was like a car wreck.....I wanted to look away but I couldn't!
