Check out "Ambient Occlusion (and Ambient light) for painters" by Marco Bucci if you haven't. Such a useful tutorial and helped me do much. Shadows actually kibda make sense now.
Had fun exploring different types of edges and brushstrokes as well.
Anatomy might be trash but I had fun. X)
