There's nothing as cute as an old couple. ^___^ This photo was taken on Yang Ming Shan, Taiwan.Love (as well as everything else really...) comes from God.
It is He who can enable us to love even when it's hard - loving enemies, for instance, and loving our neighbours as ourselves.
The most important law, Jesus said, is love:
"'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.' This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'" (Matthew 22:37-39)
Before you loved God or even deserved any of His love, He loved you - so much He was willing to give everything, even His life, to save you. He loves all of us no matter who we are or what we've done. He wants to forgive each of us and let us start afresh with Him. And when you live in relationship to God, life is different and He helps you to be more loving to the people around you, and to be a different person~
Because God Himself is Love.

Unless they're Jayjay. My boyfriend works with a 50 year old man Jayjay who still acts like a teenager and has his aunts bring him chicken for dinner. I want to facepalm when I hear Jayjay stories.

It makes me cry thinking how loving an old couple can be to each other. Its something to strive for, being the perfect church to Jesus and the perfect wife to a man.

Oh yes, it is. ^_^ Old couples really show that faithfulness is possible, that love goes beyond looks and can still be there even when one is all wrinkly and forgetful and walking gets difficult etc. There was this one couple in Taiwan who always went out walking on the mountain, and they helped each other onto the bus. SUCH a precious sight! I think we have a lot to learn from old couples, people who really stay together till death do them part.
