'Gather around children, and listen closely. For I am about to tell you all about the pridelands most fearless and and honorable king, The Great Mufasa!' The children gasped as Sarabi began to narrate one of her famous great king stories to them. Story time with Sarabi was always the best! She always spoke of the great kings and queens of the past, and they all especially liked when she spoke of King Mufasa! 'One evening, while King Mufasa was on patrol, his son Simba and his best friend, whom you all know and love, lady Nala, had made their way to visit the forbidden lands beyond our borders. Trouble soon arose and the duo became the target of a group of heinous hyenas!' 'But, mother. Don't the hyenas work for father?' Sarabi's son spoke up, confused with her story. Since he was born, the hyenas had shared pride rock with King Scar and his Queen, Sarabi. Wasn't it always that way? Scar had been eavesdropping and slowly made his way from the shadows. 'That's right Abasi. The hyenas work for daddy. But in the past, the "Great" Mufasa made enemies of many of the lands creatures. That is, until tragedy struck and took him from us. That is when your daddy stepped in and brought peace to the pridelands!' Scar boasted and all of his children cheered with joy. Sarabi's ears fell and her head sank low. She had no more words for the children today.

Ah! Another tidbit of writing for you! These are some of my Scar broodlings! All born during his reign after the death of Mufasa, and before the Rise of Simba.
