It had been bound to happen sooner or later, but Persephone knew what was happening now. Her belly had been growing bigger and bigger for a while, and she had started to feel pain. It hadn't hurt too badly at first, but that was at the beginning. Time was a relative thing for her in her prison. She didn't know exactly how long she had been feeling the pain for. Only that it seemed like it was getting worse, and that when she felt pain, it was longer than the last time. The gaps were getting shorter and shorter between when she could rest.The whole time she had tried to stay silent. If she screamed, then he might come. He only ever came to throw her some food or water. Besides that, he didn't care about her. She wasn't even sure why he cared enough to get her to have this egg. She didn't really care anymore anyway. All she wanted was to leave, to go home, go back to her brother. She missed him and her friends. Instead, she was stuck here. All alone and in so much pain.
She didn't think it was possible, but it was getting worse. She knew there was no doctor or anyone nearby to help her, and she couldn't stay silent any longer. Persephone screamed, trying to hope someone would hear her and help her. She needed help, but she was afraid of what would come...
