Kidding, I understand what you mean. Take some time for yourself. Pack your things and leave. Spirtiual retreats are the best thing in those cases. It may help achieve some state of meditation that may let get in touch with yourself. The problem with now knowing how to listen tou our heart is that we also have to listen to so many crap on a daily basis coming form the outside... And you know what, use the shut down button and find yourself

Guys, The ST is using a metaphor to convey. Don't just look at the words, look at the art as well.
The ST has put the jack into the heart. Just like you would plug the jack into a computer, iPod, or whatever. Furthermore, earphones are used to hear sound coming from things. Basically, the ST is saying that they can't hear their heart. Essentially, I can't hear what your heart is telling me.
