To ST and all those who can relate: Just don't get too caught up in denying your own worth, to still enjoy your man's love.
You feel this way, because not enough people {or not frequently enough; or not early enough} told you how great you are and why. And the one who loves you has no motive {can YOU think of one?} to lie to you about this. So if you have doubts, there's nothing wrong with telling him; he'll do his best to alleviate them. But don't chase him away by refusing to believe him no matter what. Don't be so eager to prove your lowliness that you would sacrifice your own happiness AND his, just to keep the depressing illusion.

Everybody has good qualities, sometimes it's just hard to notice them in ourselves. You need to allow yourself to take compliments well and try to believe that there is good in everybody and you are not an exception to that rule.
