"God said death was a release, not a punishment."
Is that insensitive? Sorry.

I know exactly what you mean. When I watch a movie and someone dies, I bawl my eyes out. I know that's pretty normal, at least for more emotional people, but I really, really cry. Like I can't even think about people dying, because all I think about is what they're leaving behind and how no one will ever be able to talk to them or hug them or look them in the eye again. It's a terrifying thought.

Same here.
My father's best friend died a few nights ago. I get weirded out by the thought that never again will I see him, never again will I talk to him. It just doesn't seem real.

i'm very numb toward death. it makes me sad that that person is gone but i don't really dwell on it. it doesn't bother me that much that i can't talk to them. there are so many other people in the world to talk to.
just because i don't feel the need to have my mother around to talk to doesn't mean i don't miss her and love her. I wish she was still alive but you can only prevent it for so long. Death is inevitable for everyone, so why waste life fearing it?

i'm terrified that if i, or another person dies, i won't be able to tell them how i feel about them/something i've been holding back usually.

I sometimes feel the deceased have a smaller problem than those they leave behind.
