It is called a car accident because it isn't always someone's fault.
It was an ACCIDENT. It isn't your fault. You can't have known anything would happen. I'm so sorry for your loss.

You can be sorry it happened but really PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE know that blaming yourself is pointless. You're not all powerful, you don't know everything, you had no idea this would happen and you can't control everything. It's horrible but your parents don't blame you, don't blame yourself.

I don't know how to do the "hug" emote, but I really would hug you if I could
And it isn't your fault, you know. I don't know the situation at all but it isn't. Even if you somehow literally forced your family to be on that road, you didn't force the truck to hit you. I'm not saying you didn't see it, but it happened too fast for you to do anything. I was in a fourwheeler crash with a friend once and I knew, I KNEW what was about to happen. It was just like I had this voice scream it in my head a moment before we crashed that we WERE going to crash, I can't explain it, but I tried to tell my friend/the driver to stop but there was no time. If that was just s fourwheeler, then I can't imagine how much faster a car crash would be.
Fate has a funny way of doing things and I've not lost both my parents but I lost my mother and I know that, while losing a parent is the worst thing that can happen, you will be a hundred times stronger than you could ever imagine because of it. And that would go double for you.
Maybe you were meant to get that strength, who knows.

i am really sorry for your loss.
but the most important thing you need to know is that you are not alone and it is not your fault.
we have all lost some loved ones, one way or another. you just need to believe that everything happens for a reason, and your survival means you still have something to do in this life.
so go do everything you want and make your parents proud.
all the best,
-K

Your parents won't blame you, ST. You didn't tell the truck to swerve. There is no way it was your fault. <3
