I'm actually writing a fanfic about a character of mine helping Jubilee with her vampirism. I could post a link if you're interested.

OK here it is. Just don't hate on it too much. It's my first story, and I still have lots of backstory and exposition to do.
I would appreciate a review though (Keep in mind it is AU, but takes place X-23 #11 Touching Darkness Part 2)

Gambit might've dropped the trenchcoat for now but a part of me,the toddler who saw the "Extreme redical 90's" hopes that Jubilee never drops the trenchcoat..but I'm open to a clor change for it

I always did see the destructive ability in her abilities that others didn't. I mean watch a fireworks show and picture it as some energy blast rather than just an impressive lightshow.

My good sir , this is one of the nicest comments I've got IN AGES ! Thank you very much . However, these drawings of mine are quite archaic ... Here's the perfected version devilkais.deviantart.com/art/X…

I love Jubilee. By the way, I JUST found out about the vampirism thing. Does she still have her fireworks or did she go Kate Beckinsale's Underword on our asses.
Nice pic though.

Glad to see there are many fans of her, she's an excellent character ! Now to answer , it depends
In MY CANON: she's kicking ass with her plasma powers !
In the (ruined ) mainstream: she's been depowered, now a vampire but thankfully Marjorie Liu saved both her & Gambit from the suckage !

I have a love/hate relationship with this character, I HATE the fact that Jubilee comes off like a stereotypical overconfidant brat, but I LOVE the fact that she isn't afraid to put someone in their place if they get huffy with everyone... EVEN if she's the ONLY one who's willing to do it!

I kinda disagree about overconfidence though . She showed a lot of insecurities but she's always trying to fight them , I don't see that as overconfidence but bravado & she has to since she had to fend for herself without making that look too out there . I make no secret of my love for Jubilation Lee. She's one of the most upbeat & optimistic characters in all comics I've read. I know how they love to belittle her , but I'll say this out loud : She is an extremely empathetic character & it's nearly impossible not to feel for her (hence why reading or drawing her crying is a bit painful for me...). She 's more than a sidekick or a brat, she's someone that sees Logan as her BFF She doesn't take herself seriously and has heart when things get rough for any character because she's basically adopted them as her family. I also love her interactions with Gambit, they're pretty much thieves & pals ! Moreover the great thing about Jubes is that she always struggles , the rare moments where you see her crack are really gut-wrenching (the issue where Illyana died & Jubes thought about her own mortality, just excellent !)
Kitty is the one I loathe as a brat but stand as an adult .

Wow! I don't mean to offend you, but my opinion was always the other way around! Now I want to see these two get in some kind of one-on-one cage match! (And no, I don't mean a "Cat-Fight"! I mean a no-holds-barred DUEL! Let's see if Kitty can prove that she's really IS all grown-up, Or if Jubilee can prove that she's got what it takes to show that she's still got a long way to go!)

Hehe ! No offense taken man , I just tend to get passionate about things I really like .
Kitty was an adult in the 90's , so I kept her as such . I prefer Excalibur Kitty to Teen Kitty , at least the former did not make me cringe . Hell , Kitty 's problem is that you can exactly spot the moment a writer is infatuated with her (starting with Claremont or Whedon ...), in fact way too many of the stories in the 80's were about her & her life & yadayada... It makes me laugh when people bash Gambit for being "the epitome of cool" while he had the decency not to be the guy who can do everything (a great thing about Remy is that he's much more balanced than a lot of characters ).
Jubes on the other hand is pretty close to an optimistic real life person, hence why we can actually relate to her . And the best thing about her is that she keeps smiling despite all the shit she goes through , these are the marks of a great character !

Lovely. I like how you caught her facial expression, and I actually recognize all the costumes.
And yeah, that was absolutely the last canon appearence of Skin, who was muy cool. I still miss him (okay, he was kinda resurrected in Necrosha, but that doesn't count).
Don't you love that story when she saved the world from futuristic Sentinel who was going to burn us all crispier than chilly fries?

ah sorry , that story sounds interesting but I don't think I ever got across the issue....
The things that are not canon basically are the core books, starting from the end of Alan Davis run (the last amount of bad stuff I took before only reading the solos & spin-offs, the core books later by Morrison, Austen, Claremont, & the big pile of BS that was HOM/decimation I threw to the garbage & totally ignored! I want to give the x-men story a direction of my own thus ignore anything I didn't like, editing by yourself is kinda fun

It is interesting, part of Larry Hama's run on Wolverine - Logan and Jubilee confronting the Sentinels of the Ant Hill. I don't remember the exact issue numbers, but it was right before "Jubilee's Revenge" story, which was cool by itself.
And I totally agree with your opinion about all that stuff they've been doing with our favourite merry mutants for years. Oh well. Maybe things will change eventually.

Quite honestly, I think part of what started to REALLY piss me was killing Jean Grey in such a shitty way, just so Morrison can make Cyclops "cool" & "edgy", while the hack's entire story plan could be invalidated if someone ever mentionned Cable in any line of dialogue. No I'm serious, it's like Nathan never existed, it's like the tragedy that cost them Maddie never happened & the Development Scott had in the 90's was thrown away in the garbage & Morrison wrote as a castrated moron completely unable to stand for himself or act as a competent leader (what he did in the past...). Basically that was the beginning of the fire that will burn the franchise, oh & another thing Morrison fucked up Emma Frost beyond any repair...Sad to lose one of my favourite antiheroins so that hack saddles us with a wretched parody of Lady Gaga's evil sister (srsly the hellfire club is a...Strip club '{facepalm}

Emma was cool the way she was supposed to be, like I remember her from Generation X. Sure, she was bad, but she had style. She had a tragic backstory - losing the Hellions and all that. She had a cute love/hate relationship with good old Banshee.
And I also hate what Morrison did with poor Hank. "When people hear of Beast, they think of a cat-like creature". Yeah. Right.

oh you couldn't be more Right! I half expected to see Morrison appear in the comic to personally rape Beast while flipping the reader off. yeah Beast is also apparently not the badass, wise , optimistic intellectual bruiser we've known all those years or in the cartoon, No for Grant, he's a junkie little bitch who in the future will be possessed by...sigh...a sentient bacteria (thank for Tieri, at least he made John Sublime worth a damn...) to cosplay as Apocalypse ( & EN SABAH NUR SHALL SUE THEIR HIDES FOR THIS INSULT TO HIS AWESOMENESS!) & be decapitated by Deadpool's lipless cousin dressed as Fantomex...& this run is great! Greatly stupid, wretched & mean-spirited mind you but it's great on its own right!
