I started this on the 22nd of November in 2011, intending it as a companion piece to another portrait I made of his brother, Kili. My art style has changed quite a bit in the ensuing time period, but I thought I should still upload this for old time's sake. Done with HB, 2B and 6B pencils in my sketchbook.

When's your graduation date? I'm doing okay, been sick but I'm really happy and trying hard to finish organic chemistry. Then I'll be fully graduated too! I miss you Nat, I hope you're having a great time and keeping safe. I heard about the volcano some time ago, I hope you weren't affected! I'm always worried about you breathing in that air, so take care of yourself, my friend!

Hi Meh! I've already graduated (it was on the 26th of February) but was busy tying up all the loose ends before returning home for good. Now, I'm seeing to all the registrations and paperwork needed to start my internship. The volcano's still rumbling, but at least I'm not next door to it anymore xD
How are you? How's your organic chem going? I hope you're feeling better now. Any date/time you'll be on Skype or something? Maybe we could talk xD

I'm doing well, quite happy! There are lots of issues to deal with but I'm doing my best. Organic chemistry is the nightmare that never ends, alas, but I seem to making a better go of it this time around. My final is in three weeks and, providing I do well, I will be freeeeee! I'll have finally graduated and then I can really put my head to a job hunt and maybe finding a new place to live. Moving out has proved very difficult for little old me - turns out that eating problems get a million times worse when you have to actually make your own food. I'm very out of energy these days, but I've just got to work harder!
I'll let you know when I'll be on Skype! I'm a bit busy for the time being what with various things to get to, but I can't wait to see you and I hope you're doing well!

Thank you so much, Meh! How are you? How were your finals? Moving out does feel very intimidating, especially since you're the only one responsible for you, but I know you'll get through it! I'm now back at home, waiting to be called up for service. Been writing and drawing loads. I'm mostly on tumblr these days, but I can't wait to speak to you on Skype whenever you're able!
