*update alert!!! run!! run!! now!! before it's too late!!!!*yeah. whateva.
so this one was in storage for a little while. came across the original, unedited scan a few days ago.
so i thought i'd take it out of storage, dust it off, and update the image with the unedited original.
isn't it GAWDY???

might throw some cropped in details in my scraps. there really is alot going on in this awful thing!

I REALLY like this. Most Maxx fanart you see around here is just the same generic poses that may as well have been traced off of screenshots or comic pages. Nice to see some originality.

it's cool.
it's suppose to be a collage of the two story arcs of the maxx,...featuring the second one.
the one with sarah and her maxx, which took on the characteristics of a horse.
(the original maxx took on the characteristics of julie's spirit animal, a rabbit.)
behind them is mr. gone standing on what appears to be some sort of rock outcropping, but could be a
pillar of 'isz' that are pushing him up above the sea of 'isz' that surrounds him,...which he
rules over incidently.
in the very most background is the mountain/volcano that exists in the parallel universe of
'the outback' where the original maxx, julie's maxx, first drove his hands into the molten lava then
withdrew them to find that his hands had acquired great claws which look suspiciously like he's
giving his enemies 'the finger' when he uses them. heh.
by the way, the silhouettes at the top of the volcano are those of the outback versions of
the maxx and julie,...who, of course, is known as the leopard queen in the outback.
the pink thing floating around is one of the fairy isz that showed up in the second story arc,...
and of course the gray/white isz along the bottom sporting a 'kieth rulez' shirt is from the first
story arc. (kieth, as in sam kieth, who created the maxx. i may be telling you things you already know though.
sorry.)
and of course that stuff along the top was my attempt at seeing how many ways i could letter
'maxx' in order to totally confuse people. heh.

I'll begin with the obvious.. this is wonderfully cluttered and most perversly complicated. I love it so... like all your work.
Now, on the subject of the subject, I just wanted to mention how pleasant and disorientating it was to see the crosspollination of charactors and devices from both the first and second archs. Everyone can recognize B'ere Lapin MAXX, the Isz, Mr. No, and the schenery. But your use of the fairy and the absense of Julie are both from the less popular and underread second story series. Where's Equine MAXX?
Just a little puzzled in your character choices is all. I can't think of a better way this picture could have been drawn oh great one. I curtsie in your general direction. Ow, curtsying is hard.
