I think the best way to get noticed is to post a lot of art.
If you have a large portfolio, that's half the battle.
Also, putting a lot of people on your watch and faving their stuff will return in kind.
Filling out your journal will increase page views for sure, just make sure to keep it fresh and interesting.
(It's also nice to respond back to comments when you can)
If you are a member of other forums, like IFX for example, look for other people from those forums, say hello and fav some of their nicer work. Oh...and put them on your watch also.
I got 400 page views in one month for those reasons listed above.
