Description
An experimental pop art-ish piece I made for my 10th ASCII anniversary in August 2007 and as my compo entry to Evoke demoparty, which coincidentally also celebrated its 10th anniversary in August 2007.The picture consists of eight mostly separate screens (80x25 is one screenful in MS-DOS), which is why I called this "an ASCII symphony in eight parts". Each of them has a title:
I Black current
II The persistence of memory
III New media
IV Acid drain
V Pop art
VI Interference [a popular demo effect]
VII Bar code
VIII Yggdrasil
In retrospect, the quality of the screens is pretty inconsistent. I especially dislike the fourth one, which I have tried to redraw numerous times, but haven't ended up with anything better in the end. But one has to experiment sometimes, and then figure out whether it worked or not. At least this is the only ASCII symphony that I am aware of! ;->

May I suggest something for a revision 2.0 ?
I think it would be perfectly possible to link all these screens together in a way where they are not independent one of the other...
Example:
The Tree with the moon on the top,with his roots in some ground from where the acid drain drops on the face that uses his mouth to drink the glass with the tube, and then prolongate the bare code to blend with the circular lines of the interference screen.

They were supposed to be linked and I spent hours and hours reordering them, trying to figure out ways to better connect them together etc... You have some interesting ideas, but there is a reason why the tree is the last panel. Google for "Yggdrasil".
