I'd love to wear such a shirt too. :-> In fact I'm planning to participate in a Finnish fabric design competition, but not with a fractal.

Cool!!, how did you make it?

It's a fractal, rendered in TieraZon (a free program, quite easy to use in case you want to try it). I choose the fractal formula, some effects and colors and zoom in until I find a good-looking spot. Well, in reality it's not that easy to create a good fractal, because 99,9% of the formula+effect+color combinations look like shit.

Ah, Tierazon...yes, but I have some trouble understanding formulas...

You don't have to understand the formulas. You can get pretty good results by trial and error - by time you will get an understanding of how different formulas and different effects go together. One may be able to get cool results by editing the formulas by hand, but it is by no means required. A good sense of aesthetics (and patience) is what you really need.
