Description This is my entry for the contest of of october.

Field marshal Mackensen was probably one of the most fameous leader of the old german army. He incoroprated the typical prussian military, the fierce and wild horse warrior. He was sucessful with his cavalry on the eastern front in WWI. He died at the age of 95 in the last days of WW2

And Tannenberg is currently in Poland (called "Grunwald")

Even without the title I would immediately recognize the old Fieldmarshal, your drawing is perfect Diana!
Some days ago I have read an book about August von Mackensen, he died even after the WW2. In 2006 I was in the tank museum in Munster, they have parts of his uniform in the collection.
