Story Bonus!

Elsa puttered around Town Square as she wondered what was going on... until she heard the sounds of Pokemon closeby. Tilting her head in curiosity she began to follow the noises until she stumbled upon a ring with people lined up against the fences and... Pokemon racing? Approaching the gates herself she saw residents riding their mounts around the lanes in attempt to claim victory. Smiling softly seeing the victor cheer she began to wonder if she should get a mount of her own- too. It was about time to anyways... but what of now?

"So there's the Bloom Cup and the Sprout Cup..." Elsa muttered to herself as she looked at the board nearby with the posters. "I won't be able to do the Bloom Cup... but I can 'borrow a mount from Rancher Juan' for the cup... huh..."

Proceeding to look around before taking to the skies she flew over to The Bucking Tauros Ranch in Raccolto. Landing just at the start of the dirt oath Elsa's nose wrinkled a little at the smell... she could never imagine herself being a Rancher for long.

"Good luck young un'!" Juan laughed wholeheartedly as he waved to a resident taking their borrowed mount off to the Sprout Cup.

"Excuse me?" Elsa asked, meekly stepping forward, "I-I was wondering if I could borrow a mount for the Sprout Cup..."

"Well you've come to the right place miss; just hope you don't mind getting your white jeans brown from the mud." Juan crossed his arms before nudging his head, "Follow me miss."

Elsa began to wonder if he was right on the jeans thing- it was an after thought... But nonetheless followed him into the Ranch building. Padding along the wooden floors littered with hay and mud for the mounts she began to look them over... from strong Tauros to even small Venipede... she didn't know which one was right for her.

Until... she came into view of a little Blitzle in a pen.

"Hey... what about this little guy?" Elsa motioned her hand to Juan, "May I... go in and get to pet him and know him better?"

Juan nodded and began to undo the gate to the pen, the Blitzle looking up- startled at the large wings and tail of the person walking in. Giving off a whine he moved further back into the pen and caused Elsa to stop just within the gate.

"Maybe something large would work for ya miss, this one has always been a little scared of people- don't take it personally." Juan reassured her, his hand still on the gate.

"..." Elsa looked quietly between Juan and the Blitzle that was standing as far as possible from her in the hay. If she didn't take this poor little guy... no one probably would. Stepping forward again slowly the Blitzle began to run again, but Juan closed the gate so it wouldn't escape and create chaos.

"Hope ya know what you're doing." Juan smiled softly, "Don't think I've seen anyone so adamant on having a mount."

"My mother always told me Mister Juan... If you want something so badly with all your heart, you gotta work hard for it." Elsa smiled softly, sitting down in the hay and watched the Blitzle. It was still very weary of her... but soon began to realize she wasn't hurting him or looked like she wanted to hurt him. Slowly stepping over to her in the hay, one hood after the other, his nose gently twitched as he smelled her. Very slowly she brought up her hand, letting it smell her hand too... before very slowly attempting to pet its head. The Blitzle flinched- having not been touched like that for a long time... if ever, and backed away. Elsa stayed there and let it come back to her in their own time... which was just a few seconds, before attempting another gentle head pat.

"You know miss; if you win first place you get to keep the little guy for free- supplies for him though aren't included." Juan commented as he watched the two bond, the Blitzle gently putting his legs over Elsas lap as she pet him. "Only for first place, though."

"Even if I don't win I'm going to scrape together what I can to buy him... else he won't have a good home, right?" Elsa replied quietly, "After all- it's not just people that choose a mount; the mount chooses you too."

"..." Juan perked up a small grin as he watched Elsa stand up and the Blitzle followed. He opened the gate and both walked out. "Really hope you come in first miss, looks like this little Blitzle is gonna have a future either way."

"Yep." Elsa smiled softly, gently brushing her fingers against the white mane of the Pokemon, feeling the gentle static electricity sparking across the white fur. "Either way."

Without further ado Elsa registered herself in Juans book for borrowing the Blitzle and signed it off before Juan wished them luck as they walked to the ring. It was just about time for the Sprout Cup as the Bloom Cup had been finishing up and the ring lanes were cleaned from the upturned mud and grass.

"I won't be able to be right by your side in the lane- but I will be with you on the outside of the fence OK?" Elsa smiled, gently brushing her fingers against the Blitzles pelt as she signed them up. "I'll be cheering you on... oh- I need a name for you... uhm... Sparxz... Zeus... oh I like both those names... what do you like?"

When she repeated the names a few times to the Blitzle she saw he seemed to like the name 'Zeus' more.

"Zeus it is!" Elsa laughed, petting his muzzle gently.

All Sprout Cup Entrees please report to the starting line. The announcer called out.

"Looks like its our time... good luck Zeus." Elsa smiled, leaving a small kiss on his little black nose before heading off to the ring to make sure he was at the starting line.

"The competition looks fierce though..." Elsa thought as she exited the ring, looking at the other competitors. "But I believe in Zeus."

When all of the mounts had been lined up the announcer began to count down.

The red flag was waved for all to begin. Zeus bolted out of the gates, but was straggling behind a little from a large Tauros that was taking the lead. Elsa... pardoned herself, and actually began to run along the outside of the fence to follow Zeus!

"Come on Zeus! You can do it! I know you can!" Elsa cheered, "Show them why you're the best Blitzle ever!"

Zeus continued to run, his ears fixed on Elsas words. He rounded the first corner with the others and continued to run as he was still in dead second to the large Tauros.

"Let's go Zeus! You're almost done!" Elsa cheered as she continued to run along the outside of the fence, "Push it a little forward! Go go go!~"

Zeus glanced up at the large Tauros as he was by its side, before pulsating the electricity to his hooves to gain a small boost... and surpassed the Tauros!

"Yeah!!" Elsa cheered, seeing Zeus cross the finish line, "Way to go Zeus! You did it!"

"Zle!" Zeus cried out in reply to Elsas as he made his way over to the fence where she was. Jumping over the fence and sitting in the mud (and getting her white jeans dirty... whoops) as the race was over Elsa held Zeus in her arms, her outfit getting dirty from the mud and his muddy hooves, laughing and petting his mane.

"You're amazing Zeus... you're definitely coming home with me no matter what." Elsa giggled softly as she held the little Blitzle close, closing her eyes with a smile on her face... just like Zeus.
