Description "As the amount of time spent over a computer, and the amount of pop consumed over said computer, approaches infinity, the probability of an accident involving both pop and computer approaches 1."

You should've just let Dib have the last pop this time, Gazzee.

This reminds me of a time when I accidentally spilled a can of Pepsi onto my keyboard. It was a pretty sticky situation.

I know you posted this a while back, but AHAHAHA @ Gaz.

If she's lucky, it's not broken, but now her keys are all sticky!

Of course, something similar happened to me with a laptop, but it miraculously continued to work. :whew:

(And I probably had that same expression on my face)

One of the first things they say to us in any computer lab is, "No eating or drinking in here!" but we all do it with our own anyway. The wonder is that it doesn't happen more often. Glad it wasn't a fatal accident with you! (with a p, not a h)

Ha ha, it was bound to happen sometime! It's her own recklessness and disregard for anything or anyone else other than herself that got the best of her this time!

I like to think that the can had a mind of its own and was giving Dib he's always deserved for so long. Maybe from now on Gaz will learn how beneficial it really is to just share something for once. Unless of course, she's like Nick, who never learns from past mistakes.

Dibsthe1 In reply to Queen-of-Insanity [2009-10-10 00:03:39 +0000 UTC]

Thinking up ways for Gaz to be her own worst enemy got really easy once I got started!

I don't think she ever will learn. The writers certainly left her as a flat, one-note character.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Queen-of-Insanity In reply to Dibsthe1 [2009-10-10 00:36:23 +0000 UTC]

I can see how that could be easy. The show's illogical displays of what would result from her revolting behavior could easily be flipped around to show how things would REALLY work out as result of her despicable antics in real life.

Ugh, and what's worse: Gaz is the insulting epitome of what people now beleive is what makes a good fictional female character these days. I call bullshit on the people who genuinely believe that this is true. The only time I actually cheered for Gaz on the show was when that Iggins brat appeared in the episode "GameSlave 2". That kid was asking for it, even if the entirety of the whole situation was ironic and somehwat hypocritical at the same time.

Even though I'm sure it wasn't intentional, (it WAS a Gaz-centric episode, after all) the message that came across to me was "Don't dish out what you can't take", especially when you consider that Iggins kid acted just like she does about video games, only she doesn't brag about her gaming skills or ramble on about the games the way he did. But all in all, she isn't any better about gaming than he is.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Dibsthe1 In reply to Queen-of-Insanity [2009-11-08 16:03:08 +0000 UTC]

Yes, good point. Iggins believes video games are the only things in the universe, and he does not care what he does to whoever comes between him and a video game. In that sense, Iggins IS a female Gaz, only one with more bark than bite.

I have long noticed people confusing bullying and brutality with "strength" in fictional female characters. They were doing so long before Gaz and I fear they will continue to do so after.

Strong male characters (as well as strong men) know when, why, and how much to lean on somebody; if they go any further than that they are called hypocrites, told they are abusing their power, etc.

It's not enough to just HAVE power. Power confers responsibility to use it wisely.

This reminds me of the saying, β€œWomen don't find it difficult to behave like men but they often find it extremely difficult to behave like gentlemen.”

There's a whole discussion on it here: [link]

Queen-of-Insanity In reply to Dibsthe1 [2009-11-08 23:16:49 +0000 UTC]

Exactly. And I think that's exactly what pissed off Gaz through out the whole episode. She'd finally met her match, but it turns out that he had more bark than she could handle and thus she got revenge on him in the worst way he could ever imagine.

Isn't that way much more true than it should be? I'm really fearing how the enxt generation will turn out, with all of these unresolved turmoils turning around the corner by the minute.

Actually, I've seen many male characters that are just as bad as the poorly developed female characters- if not, worse then them.

Yet another good point you've made. I personally wish that we would all just except equal treatment for both genders and act on it.

At this point, those feminists had surpassed the point they were trying to make about feminsism and are only creating far more injustice than the men ever could have been capable of. They're giving the rest of us more sensible and intellegent females a bad name.
