Description The difference one word, nay, one letter, can make. I've explained the difference between "few" and "A few" to QUITE a few students.

I'm looking at grammar pretty closely these days. Call it an occupational hazard.

(Hey, I've never drawn Professor Membrane before!)

Impact

You present very solid and humorous moment here by (obviously) manipulating the grammar in a line from the show. Considering the original execution was through a dynamic medium, you pull off a sense of time well in a static one. The skillful placement of Membrane accommodated for my eye’s natural tendencies and compensated for the lack of actual movement by giving me the impression that it was occurring anyway.

Quite honestly, I’ve never seen the Professor drawn so well. The forceful and dramatic perspective in the left image really communicates a sense of urgency and the suggestion that I must be really short. You then soften the strong impact by adjusting the angle of perspective in the right image.

He also appears to be holding what I hope is a shot of Jack Daniels. Any incorporation of this brand of alcoholic beverage into a piece instantly makes it fine art.

The coloring job is superb, as I’ve scoured the deviation closely and have yet to find an error. I can only get that kind of precision with my color in Illustrator; if you did this in Photoshop, then my hat’s off to you.

The ONLY thing I can consider truly lacking here is the need for some kind of background. White is rather boring. I suggest a bottle of Jack Daniels.

You're too kind. Really!

I don't have Illustrator, so yes, I used Photoshop. It's not hard once you get used to it.

This is awesome. Membrane has always been my favorite character in the show, so it's great to see more fanart for him- especially when you consider that he gets so little of it.

I'm just in love with your work. I really do hope you continue to contribute fanart for the show. You're one of the only artists I can depend on that I know for sure would make likable CANON character-based art. Seirously, have you noticed how many fans indulge themselves into making art only for their Invader ZIM OCs these days?

It's getting harder to tell if these so-called fans love the show's characters or if they only love OCs that are made for it. And if that's really the case, how can continue to call themselves Invader ZIM fans?

Oh, thank you! The overuse of Irken OCs bugs me too! Particularly when I see a picture think it's a canon character, then click on it to discover no, it's Invader Mary-Sue.

It's pretty awesome to find another fan who thinks the same way I do on that subject, so I have to be modest and be the one who thanks you for agreeing with me.

Granted, not every Invader ZIM OC is a Mary-Sure but there are loads of them on this site. Take Ravenpuff's OCs for example. None of her OCs are Mary-Sues, they're all very fleshed out and contain a lot of character development .

However, I can name a lot of OCs on this site that are full-fledged Mary Sues, but I refrain from doing so, because a lot of those artists with Mary-Sues have such a big fanbase that pointing out the Mary-Sueness in those said artists' OCs would be like walking into a mine-field and expecting not to get blown up the instant that I do so.

I don't really look into them enough to know much, I just scan the new IZ pics each day and see tons and tons of them...it's kinda annoying. I do have a few OCs myself, but I like to think they break the usual mold at least. (My two I'm using in fics at the moment are both male human Swollen Eyeball Agents, for example.) But I guess I can't complain too much...at least not unless I erase my first IZ fic with that Sueish love interest I gave Dib.

Anyway, glad to find someone else who agrees with me on this!
