Well, here she is mares and gentlecolts. Easily the most requested character that I've received for My Little Mages. And before you ask, I will not do one of Flash Sentry, please do not bother asking. I honestly had trouble coming up with a creative spin to take on this character. Afterall, how much can you do to personify a character that is already human? I've opted to focus on taking her iconic outfit and reforming its basic layout and colour scheme into fantasy attire. Somewhat drawing inspiration from flamenco dancers and gypsy girls. Not until putting this together have I realized just how loud Sunset's colour scheme is. Like: borderline 80's hairband loud. Interesting enough, because she is only briefly seen as a pony in the first movie, I had almost forgotten that she is a unicorn. Prompting me to add her Focus-Gem embedded circlet halfway though colouring. Even though the pose is unintentionally similar to the one I did of Lyra (I didn't notice until it was too late to turn back), I really like how it turned out. She looks like she would fit right in with a lineup of Disney villains. Like a demonic Ezmeralda.I wonder who's next to get the Mages face-lift? I know there's one character who's been a major part of the show since the beginning that I've completely overlooked... even though her kin have all joined the ranks of My Little Mages.

Sure, go for it. I always allow people to use my fan art as covers for their stuff. And I currently have no plans to make Mages out of the Dazzalings or the Crystal Prep students.

What is the difference between an Elementalist (Spitfire) and a Pyromancer?

In my mind, a pyromancer generates and manipulates the flames they use directly while an elementalist would channel the element through a focus of some kind, like an article of clothing or a weapon or their skin.
So while Sunset here is making the flame dance around her body, Spitfire would be channeling the fire into her swords for fiery melee strikes.
Dash is an elementalist too and the arrow she's nocking is pretty much pure lightning while her bow is still solid, though lacking a bowstring, so that's the basis for my theory.

For me I was thinking that she collects the heat in the air and focuses it into a certain point to create her flames.
Though this could also work for creating ice as well with the same principle, and thus turn Sunset into a thermomancer

I had this fantasy AU in mind, featuring Twilight taking charge of a run-down adventurer's guild, staffed by the other girls. At one point, I wanted Sunset to be featured as someone who Twilight knew when she was little and looked up to. Sunset was tough, but always had faith in Twilight's abilities. Long story short, Sunset disappears from Twilight's life, and comes back as a threat to the Equestrian kingdom the story would be set in.
Idk, I just always enjoyed the idea of Sunset and Twilight knowing each other in the past and giving their confrontation that much more tension.
