Description
This one took a long... LONG time to finish. I started sketching designs in the Spring shortly after the 8th season started (introducing us to these new characters), didn't touch it through the Summer (mostly due to me working at a Cadet Summer Camp up island), and just finished it off now. Mostly the reason why I went with such a slow pace was that I was kind of holding my cards to see what the show would do with these characters. Just like how I waited to see how Starlight Glimmer would develop before I added her to the Mageverse. Going with how the show progressed, I added Cosy Glow into the background there doing a little something that you would need to see the leaked finale to get.
The races represented here are as follows:
Pony = Mage
Reformed Changling = Light Elf
Hippogryph = Aasimar
Dragon = Dragon
Yak = Orc
Griffin = Harpy
By the way, I anticipate a few people bringing this up, but the reason why I kept dragons as they are only making them quadrupedal was for two reasons: way back when I started drawing My Little Mages, I made Spike more animalistic, so I am keeping things consistent here. The second reason is that it is sort of a funny role reversal since dragons in the show are one of the very few bipedal creatures shown.

Personally, I would have made it so dragons can shapeshift between their "regular" forms and human forms with dragon features (pointed ears, fangs, reptile eyes, maybe some scales on them). But, hey, it's your universe, you make the rules.

Yeah, this world has enough shape shifting creatures I think. I know that people object to me making dragons that way, but I've been drawing them like that ever since the first image way back when with Spike and Twilight, so I'm gonna stick with my guns.

Sorry. My time is devoted to this military course I am on right now. Plus I have a strict rule not to draw people's OCs as part of the Mageverse. You understand, as soon as I draw one person's pony OC as a mage, soon I'll be bombarded with requests for the same treatment. But I'll tell you what. Once my course is done in a month, I may consider bending that rule a little bit... just this once.

Bat pony = I dunno, we've only ever seen a bat pony once in the entire series and that was one scene in a Halloween episode way back in season 2. Outside of Fluttershy briefly turning into a Vampire, I don't think they are an actual race of Ponies in the show.

So let's see, Cozy is some sort of charisma based mage, while Sandbar sticks me as some sort of nature-based mage, something ocean-based, like aΒ Polynesian Wayfinder, you know with the sea turtles aura mark and the relatively laid-back attitude, like he's one with the ocean.
