Description
This is an Elephant I started back in 2010 & have just recently finished, I done this when I was learning about tonal value. It was a good exercise piece, I'm not sure how long it took, probably 8-10 hours, it's A3 size, sorry for poor quality photo my scanner isn't that big.Related content

It looks wonderful! I see what you mean about the darker areas being dark and that helps make the lighter areas light.

Yeah, on elephant 1 the tusk on the right hand side (looking from the front) is just white paper but because of the dark tones around it it looks brighter than the white paper in the rest of the image.
