This isn't a "what could have been picture" the lion king is also a series in which Scar was the leader of the "Lion Guard" which is a book as-well as a TV series......Sad story, scar killed them all and lost his power. That's where the Lion King story came into play..

If Scar were still alive, Zira would still be alive and happy, Nuka would still be alive and most possibly happy, Vitani wouldn't have betrayed, and Kkovu wouldn't have betrayed. I see them as one of the happiest families in the movies. If you think about it, everyone in this families destiny's are connected to Scar somehow.
