)"I had a little...no...a lot of trouble with this one, and it's still not any good. Sorry about that. ._.
My idea was that the mare was kind of like a present, that's why the bow is on her tail.

OH MY GOSH you give yourself FAR too little credit! This is simply stunning! So soft, and beautiful! I love the eyes, and also the bg, the way she fits in so perfectly and the background conforms around her. My characters always end up looking "plastered" in front of my bgs as if green screened. This is AWESOME!!!

Thanks. c: I'm not very good with horse faces going forward, and so I tried a lot of new things. It's crazy hard to get the subject to fit with the background, and that's what i was criticized most in when I applied to art school.

that is so unbelieveably (though I do believe it) cute! Such an adorable concept AND you pulled of the limited use of colors AMAZINGLY! even though there's little color, the peice is absotively captivating!

You've pretty much perfected the horse's pose in this image, I reckon. The placement of the figure and the overall image is very appealing, and with all that white, also brilliantly blended to the background.

Thanks so much! I have a little problem with both laying down horses and straight on faces...so it was a challenge on all sorts of levels. I cropped and grew this image a few times before finding the most suitable frame for it.

I always envy people who can pull off mostly white and desaturated images, and you certainly did here. There's just enough color to hold interest and keep everything from getting washed out, but still enough white to convey the winteryness of it all. c:
