Description A lot of people keep asking me about how I animate the markings:
I divide the body into sections, for example: nek, shoulderblade, legs, ribcase, hint legs.
Then I draw the markings of each section.
I make sure the sections move in the same direction as the legs/body etc. (I don't do this all at the same time, first the neck, then the legs, then the ribcase etcetcetc..)
I have to transform, scale, rotate the section with every frame.
When it looks good, I will make the definitive markings upon the sketchs and delete the sketch.
Sorry, it's hard to explain, if you still don't understand, please ask and I will let my boyfriend translate it into better English xD

Thank you! It took me some time and some steps to come up with this idea

That's actually really smart. I don't think I would have ever thought of that.

Thank you. For a long time I was trying to find a easier way to animate difficult markings. Everytime I drew the markings frame by frame the markings were jumping all over the place, it didn't look too good.
Here I still drew the markings without sketch as you can see:
This:   was the first time I tried to come up with a better idea, so I did this method in the neck area. I was still trying to figure it all out and thinking of a better way to do it. It's far from perfect.
this is the first time I really used it like I did here:  , but the tiger is more complicated.

But you really need to devide the body into parts, otherwise it won't work, I think just like I did on the tiger works best for me now. Same goes for Commission Winzer by DikkeBobby : neck, shoulders, ribs/belly (horse is more stiff than the tiger, so I didn't need to devide the belly into 2 parts), bottom, upper leg, lower leg

Thanks for the advice! I've always wanted to animate, and now I'm sure that I'll have a head start when I do decide to try it out.

I actually have something that you might find helpful too. I noticed that some of your animations are still a bit choppy. Well, there are programs out there that will take two frames and put them side by side, calculateS what a middle frame would look like and then puts it in there to make a smoother animation, with little to no work on your part. I know of a few of them; TrimensionDNM, Motion Plus, and Motionflow. Maybe you would want to give them a try? It would save you a lot of time and I think it would help you with your work.

Thank you Some of my runcycles are a bit choppy, I can't deny that. I think most of the time it's because I did't have enough frames or some of the frames were slightly off. I think my newer animations are much better, the older commissions were also a lot cheaper (6€ or something, so it's more fair.) The most difficult thing for me to animate is the tail, for some reason I think that has always been te most difficult.

I really don't like trying new programs, because every program has 100000000000000000 buttons and I get quickly irritated if I don't understant somethiing, ''because this program doesn't work.'' However, you made me curious about the programs, I will have a look and watch some of the tutorials for it. I  never heard of the programs before and I didn't even know it was possible (enless you are some pro with a hightec computer.) So, thanks for that

And if you want to animate, just do it. In the worst case it goes wrong, but you will always learn from
