Hey, I've decided to go and look through my old folder and post a few pics. If these start to get some comments, I may post more of them. So if you see and read this, especially if you're one of my watchers, a comment would be appreciated more than a fave, those are more likely for me to keep this up and start posting more pics.
This pic is part of my old "Creatures of Zaldor," based on my mythical world of Teros, a fantasy setting I've worked on for years now. Many of them are based of Cryptids, prehistoric creatures and mythical beasts, mostly of the Americas.
This is a Clawed Ripper, an original creation of mine based on speculative evolution. Clawed Rippers are evolved Azhdarchid Pterosaurs, that evolved to become flightless, and then grew smaller and smaller wings until their wings became vestigial and useless, with tiny flaps of skin on what used to be their wing fingers. Instead they grew shorter necks and beaks for powerful predatory bits and ripping, as well as talons on their front limbs for slashing. Now terrestrial predators, they stalk Zaldor as predators.
It's unclear how Clawed Rippers came about. It's possible they lived in the Mesozoic, an undiscovered lineage, flung forward in time with the Zeruins, Dragons and other dinosaurs (it's an event that happens in my setting) or something that somehow survived the K-Pg extinction, and evolved in the early Cenozoic before dying out before the Pliocene, and was revived using cloning magic. Or it was genetically mutated from existing azhdarchids in either the mesozoic or modern times. No one knows for sure, but they are dreadful terrestrial hunters.
