Description
An idea I came up from for my Power Rangers Neo story idea, particularly the first Arc, Dinosaur Power.

The idea in Power Rangers Neo is that the original Dino Zords were robotic shells built by Zordon to hold ancient spirits, the Totem Dinosaur Beast Gods of the 5 Tribes of an ancient civilization that warred with the Witch Rita. In Neo, in addition to a single Beast God, each tribe also had a lesser spirit. This spirit served under the beast god, and helped whenever it could.
In modern times, the Power Rangers can call on the Dinosaur Spirit of their tribe, having it aid them directly in small scale battles. Unlike the Beast Gods, the lesser spirits are fully capable of taking on solid form, and use the best of their combat abilities to fight alongside the rangers. Unlike the Dino Zords, the lesser spirits were not lost in combat, and can be utilized in later Arcs against later foes, even retaining their bond with the Rangers when they gain new power coins from Ninjor. It is only after their power coins are lost for good fighting Dark Spectre that the bond with the lesser spirits is directly lost.

This is the Pink Archeopteryx spirit ( A primative bird-dino link), a lesser totem of the Pink Risha Tribe, and a "disciple" of the Pink Pteranodon Beast God that would go onto become the Pink Pteranodon Dino Zord.
The lesser pink spirit is not a good fighter, being too small to do any real damage in combat. It's powers lie in it's innate magic, being able to conjure up a small fire, or heal minor injuries, much like a Phoenix. The swift flying bird is also a good messenger and scout, and is useful for finding hidden danger.
The Archeopteryx at fist helps Pink Ranger May, but switches over to help out Kat when she takes on the mantle of the Pink Ranger.
