Description this is supposed to be the proto-earth, which supposedly had green oceans and very red land areas before the emergency of cellular life. weird huh?

Honestly I can't think of anything. Although I did notice that when I submit a deviation there is actually a category specifically for space-art, which made me a little depressed.
Right up there with the realization that there are 12 year olds that can photoshop better than I ever will, which also reminded me that I'm older than Tim Tebow, so there's that too. Fucking Tebow.

I appreciate the inverted stars, though not the cut-offs nor the compression.

There's been a space art category for years
Very cool though, people tend to avoid DOF effects in space art because it can be unrealistic in certain situations, but you used it very well here. At the end of the day, it isn't really about realism but about beauty, and this works.

I know. And I've been slightly inactive for years. I've even used it before but somehow glanced over it.

DOF would be a matter of the lens, aperture, and focal length. Of course it would have to be an enormous lens, but achieving this DOF is physically possible.

Well depending on where you are this might work with a regular telephoto lens (though I've never tried it in a situation like this, nor have I checked the math on something like that).

In any case, welcome back?
