YAY! I love that they name her Ashley. I hope Kaidan's injuries aren't too serious and I really felt for Liara who could've been the "father" if things had turned out differently. I hope she and Kaidan can become closer after sharing this experience. You had me at the edge of my seat, all worried and concerned. Great job! Cannot wait to read more.

I think she will be a right little fighter - interpret as you will. It's a shame you don't get the full extent of the relationship between the three - Might need to go back and right Virmire so you can better see the friendship development

This will be made clearer in the upcoming chapters - it's all a bit rushed and muddled for poor Kaidan to really take stock at this point! But she is going to have thick, black hair like her daddy and blue eyes like her mommy

I hope Ashley would feel proud of her parents. It was by no means a perfect labour - but I hope that she could be proud of the achievements, understand why they didn't have time to get married beforehand, and feel pretty lucky considering the extent of the crash.
This piece was based on actual events that happened to me when I was pregnant with my most recent son. At 24 weeks we had a car crash that left me in premature labour - but luckily it stalled and I then carried my son to term. The inspiration came from that event,and I feel eternally lucky that the outcome was a happy one.
I think she will love her parents, I imagine Kaidan and Abigail would be devoted parents.

Thank you, I am just writing one final piece for the prologue - I know I said i would stop at six parts, but I had to write this. It came to me when I was cooking dinner for the kids and I just had to rush off and write it tee hee!
