And I dunno, I actually liked Shinji, despite his moments of bitch-ness. I dunno, I always liked the more realistic characters, because I can sympathize with them without feeling like a damn chump, like I would Asuka or Rei, since they feel more like characters than they do real people.

gawd, i hate shinji so much! lil puss. But then again... he was a little boy thrown into a situation that adults would even be scared shitless about, it seems like a more realistic portrayal than say digimon.
Back to the picture! The cold cloudy atmosphere really matches the Evangelion story. You pulled it off without making it look cheezy. It seems pretty action filled too, not just like a still drawing that you look at and say "that's just a drawing." (Or in simple terms, more like a screenshot than painting.)
