Description Name: Mega Geon
Height: 400 ft
Weight: 137,000 tons
Alliance: Neutral, Earth Defender
History: Geon made his first appearance in 1996, during the first War of the Super-Monsters. A dragon-like creature belonging to the ancient Geonoid family, he had been locked in a state of suspended animation since prehistoric times. His slumber was disturbed when an abnormally powerful storm swept across Russia and struck his resting place, the Bering Sea. Soon afterward Geon went on a destructive rampage which eventually led him to Japan, where the other Super-Monsters had already converged.
Geon did well in the monster war, having used his massive bulk and foul temper to great effect. He killed and devoured the alien invader Beetle-Mania, and his battle with Woo left the ape monster mortally wounded. Undefeated and seemingly immune to all forms of man-made weaponry, Geon cut a swath of destruction through Japan that leveled Tokyo and Shinjuku almost completely.
His reign of terror was brought to an abrupt end when he was defeated in Kyoto, by Astro Guy. The super-powered humanoid beat Geon within an inch of his life, leaving him to die in the wilderness. The war went on without him, and by the time it had ended Geon’s body had vanished.
It was later learned that Geon not only survived the encounter, but drew power from it. He had absorbed enormous amounts of radiation from his battle with Astro Guy and mutated into a larger, stronger form- Super Geon.
More powerful than before, he returned to the battle field intent on taking revenge. However, by 1999 the second War of the Super-Monsters had begun and Super Geon was forced to change plans. Alien invaders from the Donavere Star System had come to Earth with plans of global domination, and in order to survive Super Geon had to join forces with fellow Super-Monsters Cyber Woo and Atomic Guy. The trio of kaiju successfully thwarted the invasion, killing off most of the opposing monsters and defeating their leader, King Famardy.
With the battle over and the remaining monsters now allies, Super Geon returned to the Bering Sea. He went into hibernation at the bottom of the sea, leaving the rest of the world to recuperate. He would rest for eight centuries before being awakened again.
In the year 2799 the Donavere Star System Federation attacked again, launching a full-scale invasion on the entire planet. However, sleeping at the bottom of the sea, Super Geon was oblivious to the danger. Knowing that they would need all three kaiju to fend off the invaders, the United Nations (hesitantly) decided to awaken the deadly Geonoid. A nuclear warhead with Super Geon’s coordinates was launched, and in a fiery explosion he was born anew.
Fueled by ten times the amount of radiation he had received from Astro Guy, Super Geon evolved into a terrifying new form: Mega Geon. Angry, awake, and stronger than ever, he rose from the boiling sea with only one goal in mind: kick alien ass.

Powers and abilities:

*Geon is not as slow as his massive bulk might suggest. He can outmaneuver most monsters his size and is capable of reaching great speeds when charging.

*By stomping the ground, Geon can create powerful impact tremors that shake the ground like an earthquake.

*Geon can release sonic-roars capable of knocking other kaiju off their feet.

*Geon possesses immense physical strength. He can lift other monsters and hurl them over his head with ease.

*Geon has many natural melee weapons to destroy his foes: sharp teeth and tusks, razor-like claws, gigantic spikes, and a tail like a sledgehammer.

*Geon can lengthen or shorten any of his claws or spikes at any given moment, modifying the amount of damage they inflict.

*Geon has an insatiable apetite. With powerful muscles and the ability to unhinge his jaw, he can take enormous bites out of his opponents. His stomach acid is so powerful that it can break down almost anything, animate or inanimate.

*Geon has fiery breath, which he can release like a mythical dragon, or in the form of long-range fireballs. His most potent variation on the attack is Snake Fire, where he launches a stream of flame that rushes across the ground like a serpent, setting everything it touches ablaze.

I'm digging these kotm3 guys, but, um... bit of a problem here. Super Geon is dead by 2017 according to neo geo battle coliseum, as is cyber woo.

Still, I like that you went with the sequel hook, and have Geon et. al. go into hibernation for 800 years and wake up in the middle of all this weird alien shit. O.o

Geon and subsequently Super Geon were always my monsters of choice when playing WoM and WoM2. I bought a game system just to play it at home and recently found a Neo Geo arcade unit for sale that has them both loaded into it....just gotta convince my wife it's a good idea

Thank you! He was always one of my favorite characters as well, but Claw Head was definitely my best. Huge Frogger and Atomic Guy could kick some serious ass too.

Ya they are all pretty cool too. Clawhead reminds me of a Ultraman monster. I just' can't remember it's name though......

I think I know the one you're talking about. Bogun, or Boogun, or something? Or was it Brooze? I don't know, I've heard a ton of names for him, I'm not sure which one is right. The green guy with two heads and a whip on his top head?

Dragonsmana In reply to DinoHunter2 [2009-03-08 02:47:02 +0000 UTC]

Well theres that one, I thought of that one just as soon as I was finished submitting my reply lol. But I thought there was another similar one. It was probably a different version of the same monster from a different season. Bogun is the usual name that I hear.
