I used Photoshop Elements 7 to get the invisible background. You can save whatever image as a .png, upload it on Photoshop, (any version) and make sure your background is transparent. (You can see that by the checkerboard behind the image)

If you don't have Photoshop, you can use Gimp. (I use Gimp 2.0) It's free, and you can find it around the web somewhere. Upload your image (.png or .jpeg) onto Gimp, click Layers at the top, then Transparency, then Add Alpha Channel. You can use the magic wand tool to select additional areas. Just use the eraser from there.
