Description Ok here it is, completed clear coat with stand. The sword has been sold. The stand is incomplete, but presentable for today's submission for a local art showing. The stand will be further customized for its new owner. I just wanted to thank everyone for the comments and opinions. I decided against the stain.

The materials are so simple, yet this is so incredibly detailed. I can't imagine how that katana is possible.

Kara ty for the comments. I see many talented people on this site, but more often than not, i see much of the talent here spending more time on producing quantity rather than quality. so many here including yourself have alot more potential than what has been displayed. You Kara, from what i can tell by the one sword ive seen is excellent. one comment you left regarding the leaves on the tsuba, the only answer i have for that is a whole lot of patience. truly and honestly, that sword is the 3rd out of the 4 ive made. the 4th is still in progress. however, i have a well refined technique i use in making the actual blade. i have yet to have seen it duplicated. there are a select few id like to share this trade secret with. it has been thus far, one of the only visible trait of my work that people may recognize me by, but id like to see it used by others to help them unlock their potential. If you are serious about your hobby Kara and plan to be in it long term, im considering sharing it with you^^ Fixinman and only a few others have i considered sharing it with

I'm shocked. I dare to say that you can't imagine how much of an honour it is for you to say such a thing, but I'm afraid that in some way I feel as if
I must decline. I say this because when I see the swords that you have made, I see nothing but sheer maturity. I feel as if I don't
yet deserve this trade secret of yours, as in terms of swordmaking, I must find that patience you talk of. Otherwise I wont be able to use your method,
whatever it is. I must continue to hone my own patience and, when I feel I am ready, then can you but consider me as a candidate for the spreading of
your secret.

As always, if I ever believe that I should quit swordmaking, I will always return to this page.

your words are too kind Kara. my all means, do continue to hone your skills for i will certainly follow your progress. continue to look to DA for inspiration, and always always always continue to challenge and outdo yourself with each and every new project and you will surely rise to the top. patience is your best friend, get to know each other well^^ thx for all of your comments Kara

patience is my best friend eh? I'll need a lot of getting used to that one. I'm definitely not impatient, but it seems quite a skill to recognise the eventual benefit of slow progress.

Do you know how many swords I had on the go right now? about 4. Do you know how many I will scrap/ finish quickly with power tools? 3.

Just one right now. I cant wait to spill the beans as to what it is. You may really appreciate it, or you may really, really disapprove

I don't quite know....

Anyhow, I really cant express how much I appreciate your advice - I nearly went down the wrong road when I noticed that many people make a sword possibly

every week. I think that to have that skill is very honourable, but it's just not me. I have one sword that is going veeery slowly, which came about from your advice.

Obviously, I will credit you! XD.

im curious, how much did this sell for? how much would a commission of this level of quality and detail cost?
