Description
This is the legendary Pokemon Giratina, reborn as a Sailor Senshi. It is a Ghost/Dragon type with a base stat total of 680 (awesome), and rules over antimatter from its home dimension, the Distortion World, and it part of the Creation Trio of the Sinnoh region. Its powers are magnified if it has a Griseous Orb in its possession, which also changes its form. It is the version mascot of Pokemon Platinum. It has the Pressure ability in Altered Form, but it becomes Levitate when it transforms.

Nothing in my days as a trainer prepared me for an encounter with Giratina. I had to infiltrate the Distortion world itself, where the laws of physics do not apply. I could walk up walls, surf waterfalls before I got the HM (on water floating in the air no less), and pillars suddenly popped out of the ground when I got close. It was truly bizarre. When I reached the end, I stared this behemoth down and challenged it. I was forced to throw the Master Ball after it broke out of all the others I threw, but before long, it was totally worth it. Giratina is an awesome legendary!

Giratina is normally in its Altered Form, but if you bring it to the Distortion World, or give it a Griseous Orb to hold, it changes into Origin Form. It’s Attack and Defense stats flip when it changes, more focusing on attack when in Origin Form. It’s Speed and health remains the same regardless of form, and it has the highest HP among all legendaries. Good luck taking it out without super effective moves.

Sailor Giratina was planned from the beginning to include both forms, but unfortunately, Giratina itself goes through very few physical changes when it transforms. Its wings change into claw…things, and its legs are replaced with spikes. So for the Sailor variant, I decided the colors should be inverted (black skirt, red belt changed to red skirt, black belt for example), and she should wear different shoes. Since Origin Form can levitate, she should be shown doing that. I also gave her a different weapon to represent her stat changes. Altered Form gets the Xenlon Staff (no special effect), while Origin Form gets a personal favorite, the Demon Spear (slight chance to score a one-hit kill), both weapons from Dragon Quest. I also thought it would be cool if Sailor Giratina would be holding some ghost flames.

Attacks:

Shadow Force: Sailor Giratina vanishes completely. She leaves no shadow, no scent, no body heat, and is completely undetected by anything. She then suddenly appears in front of her victim, shrieks, and strikes with her spear. This attack can strike through defensive shields.

Draco Meteor: Sailor Giratina summons meteors from the heavens to pummel her enemies. After it does damage, she becomes exhausted, and the attack weakens.

Aura Sphere: Sailor Giratina fires a projectile that follows her opponent from anywhere. This attack hits without fail.

Coming up is my 500th deviation! I’ve got a surprise for that, though it won’t be the group photo of the Creation Trio (though that is in the works). You’ll have to wait and see!
