Description This is the legendary Pokemon Rayquaza, recreated as a Sailor Girl. It is a Dragon/Flying type, has a base stat total of 680 (awesome), and represents the sky, and is the leader of the Weather Trio. It has the ability Air Lock, which negates any weather effect in play, and prevents weather altering moves from triggering. Rayquaza is the version mascot of the Emerald version, and is also available to trainers with a Jade Orb in their possession after catching Kyogre and Groudon at the Embedded Tower in Johto. For some reason it doesn’t like those caught in Hoenn, and won’t appear if any of them were caught there.

Many years following the approval of a passport to travel to the Hoenn region, I met this legendary Pokemon. I even used it to help me catch the other two legendaries, and its Air Lock prevented Solarbeam from firing on the first turn (Not that Rayquaza would’ve felt much), and reduced Hydro Pump to scratch damage. Lucky for it none of them knew Ice Beam, which would’ve ended Rayquaza really fast. Why does Game Freak like the Dragon/Flying type so much? One Ice attack and they drop like a sack of potatoes.

I had a hard time choosing her weapon, but one of the fans from Dragon Quest 9 came to mind because of how powerful it is: the Attribeauty. While it isn’t the best fan of all, it has more special effects than any other weapon in the game. Its regular attacks punch through shields, and it goes first as a bonus. It can also damage metal monsters easily and lowers the target’s tension. Apparently, that fan makes one hell of a paper cut! I colored them dark blue to match the color of the Dragon element. Since Rayquaza is also part Flying type, which is Pokemon’s answer to wind attacks, fans would amplify these attacks. This is also why I added the Air Nomad symbol from the Avatar series. And if any of you think fans are lame weapons, you’ll be whistling a different tune when you’re playing the Smash Bros. games, and you discover you can break shields with it, and how fast you can attack with it. Plus, fans were also used as ancient weapons once their edges were sharpened. They are easily concealed in clothing. Also due to her part-Flying type, I had to give her wings, these being holographic in appearance, yet still granting flight. The orb on her chest, and her jewelry, is colored jade, in reference to the Jade Orb that summons Rayquaza. Her design is based on Sailor Jupiter, with Eternal Sailor Moon’s wings helping out as well.

Attacks:

Air Slash (The user swings the fans toward her opponent, sending a blast of wind at them that might stun them)

Outrage (Sailor Rayquaza attacks in frenzy. After a few attacks, she becomes dizzy)

Up next: the finale with all three of them, with their respective weather effects.
