Description
This is the legendary Pokemon Cresselia, reincarnated as…Sailor Moon? It’s a pure Psychic type with a base stat total of 600 (nice), and has the power to dispel nightmares caused by her counterpart Darkrai. She can be found on Full Moon Island in Sinnoh, where she will then travel the region. She also appears in Unova during a side quest involving a ghost girl. Thankfully, you don’t have to chase her throughout the region. Unlike most legendaries, which have no gender, Cresselia is always female.

I had this idea that if Sailor Moon became a Pokemon trainer, Cresselia would obviously be her signature Pokemon (would likely have perfect IVs too). I thought of this the minute I saw Cresselia’s design. Alongside, “OMG, Sailor Moon’s been turned into a Pokemon!” This is also why she was given Sailor Moon’s signature hairstyle. I also wanted to make sure she has different shoes than Sailor Moon, even though Cresselia doesn’t have feet (due to its ability Levitate). In fact, she played a major role in Sailor Cresselia’s design. Would you expect anything less from a Pokemon inspired by the moon?

On another note, Cresselia’s shiny sprite is blue. Get it? It’s a pun on “once in a blue moon,” which is how often you’ll find shiny Pokemon.

Like Sailor Darkrai, she was given a modified Bright Staff as a weapon. This one I dubbed the Full Moon Staff. It would also have the ability to put opponents to sleep when struck or when it’s held up as an item. However, the victim does not suffer nightmares, and does not lose health when sleeping. They just drop to the floor and snooze.

She bears the colors of the Pokemon she’s based on, which coincidentally match the color scheme of the Lake Guardians of Sinnoh (which I do not plan to make into Sailor Senshi), and has a crescent moon on the orb on her chest. She also has earrings made to resemble the full moon, which was also incorporated in her hair decorations. Also, I wanted her to make the signature salute that Sailor Moon is known for, and I’ve seen nearly every cosplayer imitate it.

Attacks:

Lunar Dance: Sailor Cresselia sacrifices her health and magic power to fully restore her entire party. It also removes any status affliction as an added bonus.

Psycho Cut: Sailor Cresselia creates a blade of psychic energy and tosses it toward her enemies. It can strike several of them in a row, and it can strike weak points easily.

Signal Beam: Sailor Cresselia fires a beam toward her opponent. It can sometimes confuse them into attacking themselves or their allies.
