Description Saw the legendary 4th Doctor himself, Tom Baker, today at the Barking Learning Centre doing an autograph signing.

Shortly before 10am when the signing was set to begin, I arrived at the centre, and Tom himself arrived at the same time with a couple of men showing him into the building when I thought he was already inside the centre

There was several fan's wearing their 4th Doctor Scarf's [I would have done myself with my own Scarf, but the weather today here in Britain is 20c so it was quite warm and would have made me feel hot around the neck if I was wearing my Scarf today]. One female fan who wore her Scarf gave Tom Baker a Jelly Baby, even thou I noticed a small box of Jelly Babie's in his left pocket

I got talking with a fellow fan, and he told me that when he attended last years 50th Anniversary Celebration at the ExCel Centre, he heard that Tom had accidentally let slip to the other classic series Doctor's that he was appearing in 'The Day of the Doctor' BEFORE it was broadcast inside the ExCel Centre on the day of Doctor Who's 50th Birthday, but let's be honest, at his age [now 80] he is getting on a bit, so little slip up's happen every now and then.

I've now seen all the surviving classic series Doctor's, minus Paul McGann.

Nice! Baker played a mean Puddleglum, too. Quite an excellent actor!

It's too bad you didn't get an autograph or talk to him. It must have felt like you had laryngitis and Jelly Legs at the same time.

My fiance' went to GenCon this last year WITHOUT ME and saw Davison AND Wil Wheaton. Davison didn't even have a line! He did get me a signed Erfworld book, though, so can't complain.

I never spoke to him actually, he was busy signing autographs, and no, I didn't get his autograph cos I think I get a bit too nervous talking to famous faces, and I didn't get a photo with him either sadly, just what you see above which is what I took.

Unfortunately, I haven't met any of them. I'm in the U.S. so slim to none chance of that happening. I did finish Classic Who recently and Tom Baker is my favorite of the Classics. I do want to get a scarf so when it gets cold where I live, non-Whovians can say WTH man? Why are you wearing that ridiculously long scarf? They just don't know.Β

I'm sorry to hear that, or read that, to be more correct in my reply to your comment.

Maybe if you ever decide to travel to the UK someday, who knows, you might to get see and meet some of the actor's who've played the Doctor or other characters in the show.

Who knows eh .Β  . . . WHO knows

I've always wanted to take a couple weeks vacation over there. Many factors as to why it hasn't happened. Probably the same as why they haven't come over here. They have lots of fans here. If you can, make sure to throw Nashville, TN in the route.

Thanks bud, even thou I don't feel that I've always been blessed with luck, for example, when I feel depressed, I end up thinking that nothing has ever gone right for me, or that if I do bad thing, then something bad will happen to me as a form of punishment, but I guess that's just me being silly.

Mind you, I am a Pisces, and as a Pisces, I think it's normal for me to just feel this like that every now and then, that's just the way it is with my star sign, us Piscean's are known for being all sensitive and all that.

But I was lucky today to see Tom Baker none the less
