This is an illustration I made a few years ago, in September 2009 according to the digital scan data (which you can see below). It depicts a scene from Chapter 34 of The Adventures of Fox Tayle , by wannabemustangjockey . It's a pretty good story, and I recommend it.At the time I made this, I considered it some of my finest artwork. I wonder now if, were I to push myself, could I make art like this again?
The Subaru and the helicopter (line art) were traced from reference photographs (against a window using sunlight!), but everything else was done manually. I made sure to get all the details right: What highway they're on, what Fox was wearing, the Ohio license plate, and the weather. And of course, the make and model of the car and helicopter. (I made up the license plate number, though.) In this scene, Fox is on a Pennsylvania highway (Pennsylvania Route 283 ) being chased by, to make it simple, the U.S. government. But it's a little more complicated than that, and too long for me to explain here. I hope you like the image!

Yeah, I remember being super into this story while it was still going on, and there was a long period where it didn't update. If you do end up reading it, I'd love to know what you think of it.

Indeed, it took a bloody long time for me to get back into it enough to finish writing. I still haven't gotten around to revising the earlier chapters. :/ Fox's first chapter is a cop-out of "I don't know anything about this stuff so I won't bother explaining".

Oh hey man! Thanks for stopping by! I'm sorry that I published this drawing without your permission, but I figured a long time had passed, and maybe you would have different thoughts about it. Luckily, you seem to be okay with this. I remember years ago you saw it and asked that I not publish it.
As always, I eagerly await any further developments with this story, whether that's re-writing earlier chapters, or adding artwork to chapters that don't have art yet, or maybe even adding more art to chapters that already have art.

Ideally I should probably redo all the illustrations (gah, 40+?!) just because Fox's anatomy is so horrible and most of the other human characters are, as well. Even the reference sheets are crap.

It's good! Is the field in the back snowy, or just not drawn because it is fading off in the distance?

This scene takes place in Pennsylvania in February 2006, so yeah, that's supposed to be mostly snow. I drew this years ago but never uploaded it for various reasons. I think I've lost the original paper it was on. But back then, I scanned it, and the image sat on an old XP desktop for years. Finally, because Microsoft was pulling support for Windows XP (and they did, on April 8th), I decided to do one final update on the XP computer and salvage some of the more important data off of it, this image included. I brought it over a few days ago on a flash drive, and tonight I finally uploaded it.
I don't have anything in the works right now, though, music or otherwise. And I don't know when I next will be working on anything, or (as I said in this deviation's description) if I could even do a drawing like this again today. Thanks for your interest, though.
