Hey! I'm back from the dead and here to consistently upload
Sorry for the absence, but I've been helping my family out a ton during this turbulent quarantine.Anywho, this was originally going to be a quiet DA banner redraw of my original pic (under the same name), but I was so proud of it I had to upload it again!

Oh, and my "mlp pet series" is still running (here's my first series upload www.deviantart.com/doodally-do… ). I just haven't had the inspiration to do a continuous run through, so I'll upload other pics while working on it. Hope you guys don't mind : )

I think the proportions are this is pretty cool. I'm not too familiar with MLP so I have no idea if you made up the proportions are they're from some version of canon, but either way it suits this piece due to the very round, exaggerated head of rowlett. It makes the styles seem to match which is great in crossovers. Your shading has definitely gotten much better from January though it looks like both pieces were done from the same sketch. It's not a full redraw is what I mean. On one had I get that not much time has passed, but it would have been nice to see a full redraw attempted. Maybe in the future. The sharper ear was a good fix though. I terms of improvements, I think this piece could do without the eyelashes. The original looked fine with just a single cartoon lash, but I think lots of them is a clash of style since the rest of the piece is fairly simple. I've seen a lot of people who have trouble balancing details in their pieces, especially with very simple styles, it is important to be consistent with the simpleness. The hooves and bends in the hind leg also look like they could use a bit of tweeking.
