Description The man pictured here is Dr. Holtzer. Holtzer has been through a lot. When he was little, he went through something no other child should have to go through. Many years after, he became a scientist and along with others ran multiple tests on living subjects. Having a weak heart, Holtzer volunteered himself to join in on the subjects and underwent a lot of pain and tests himself. He was a successful experiment and was automatically sent as an enlisted soldier without consent. He fought in many wars, met the woman of his dreams who later perished, and simply went through Hell and back. So Is he okay? No, he's not.

Another edgy doodle I made. :v This one's also kind of a vent, but not as much as my last two were. Dr. Holtzer here is usually independent, composed, and strong but he has his moments were he has a panic attack or just needs to be consoled. He's a good guy, but he's been through a lot and usually pushes others away for fear of hurting or losing them. Anyways, I like how this came out so enjoy! <: (also, first time drawing him w/o glasses. :3 Yeh, he's a blind boi)

Well, PTSD is something soldiers get pre packaged with their profession. Only some soldiers remain the same people after the deployment.
Here, the passing of his loved one is like this morbid cherry on top.
I feel bad for him

On the happier note, I absolutely love the way you draw Squirrel characters ^^

That's true. PTSD is a serious condition that affects a lot of soldiers, especially those sent into combat. He also has PTSD from some childhood trauma he went through as well, which doesn't sit well at all with the passing and being in combat. :<

But luckily he's got an assistant who's always there to comfort him when he's down. ^^ Thanks!! Squirrels are my favorites. :3

Today, I don't think most soldiers get PTSD from combat itself, but when they lose friend or something more traumatic, that's the main PTSD triggerer.
When they're under fire, it's mostly all adrenaline, the survival instinct, training and little bit of that comradeship.
They've been trained to be under fire, so that's just another park to walk. Plus, combat today looks a lot different than that during WW2 or WW1. Meh, dunno if you are interested in my military ramblings in comment section of vent pic xD

Heheh, yesh I see. You do a great job

Also, the bottom looks weird because he's wearing a lab coat, I don't think I executed that part too well. :v

I wanna hug him if he'll let me, and tell him "it'll be ok". Though with all the shit he's been though, it's tough.
