Well, I'm done with the sculpting thing!

Uhm, I kinda 'got lost' in the sculpting process; meaning that I was so 'in the zone' with the sculpting, that I had done it all before, "Oh! I meant to take photos throughout the steps! O: "
Oops! Oh, well! XP

Basically, what I've done since the last WIP is:
1) Finished the body sculpting
2) Made horns & Spikes & Baked them, then stuck 'em into the clay. (I singed them slightly; hence the colour!
3) Covered the wings in thin clay from my pasta machine.

Step 3 caused some problems, though!
Once the wings were covered, they became too heavy for the overall armature of my dragon to support. So he was compressing & sagging under his own weight! D:
*Panic*

He couldn't stand.
He couldn't lie down.
Omg, what do I do? D:

Well, basically, I grabbed some wire, a long thin PVC Pipe (Don't ask why I own these things.) and a huge stack of books.
I then threaded the wire through the wings (as you can see) put the PVC pipe through the loop, and suspended the dragon between the book piles.
All with one hand.
Yes.

Then finished up some minor details, and baked him in the oven using the same technique. (Hanging him from an oven rack from the top of the oven) XP
Yay, improv!

Once he cooled, I then started the long, arduous tast of rolling out & squashing hundreds of balls to be the scales. Wooo~

Here he is now, almost ready to bake for the 2nd and final time! Whereby I shall then prime and paint him. :3

(I'm not gonna bake him in the tray, as Sculpey becomes soft in the oven again, and he'd squash himself again. I shall hang him instead.)

Tl;dr: Fun! Challenging! Wings are heavy! Basically done!
